Let’s take a look at our web-based admin portal, Creator Studio, to see how easy it is to manage users. I’ll start by clicking the “Users” icon, which brings up the user management page. To add a new user to the DaVinci platform, go to the top right and click the “New” button. You’ll need a valid email address, and this is also where you set the initial password for the user.
There are three different roles available: Admin, Agent, and No Access. For this example, I’ll set the new user as an agent. As you can see, the user now appears on the user management page. To further configure the user, simply click on the user’s name, and their configuration will appear on the right side. Here, you can see the email, name, and role of the user.
To quickly go over the roles: Admins can log into Creator Studio and configure profiles and users, while Agents can only log into the softphone and don’t have access to Creator Studio. The “No Access” option is useful for scenarios like mandatory vacations—rather than removing the user entirely from the DaVinci platform, you can temporarily restrict their access for security reasons.
Next, you’ll need to assign a license to the agent based on the number of available licenses. The user I just created doesn’t have one yet, but since I have available licenses, I can simply assign one. This is also where you assign profiles. By default, a demo profile is selected, but you can add more profiles by checking the box next to the desired profile and clicking “Save.” If an agent has multiple profiles, they’ll be able to choose which one to log into. If they only have one, it will automatically load.
Additionally, we support importing and exporting CSV files for better integration with your contact center. Many contact centers have large lists of users in their CRM, and they can easily export those lists and import them directly into DaVinci. The import/export buttons are at the top, and to import a file, simply click “Import,” browse for your CSV file, and upload it.
