In this webinar, I’ll walk you through how quickly and easily you can set up a Copilot agent in Copilot Studio using a simple use case. If you’d like to follow along, you can sign up for a free trial at copilot.microsoft.com.
Once logged into Copilot Studio, you’ll see the homepage with a text box where you can define how you want your agent to function. On the left-hand side, the navigation toolbar allows you to create new agents or manage existing ones.
To simplify the process, we’ll use a pre-built template for a website Q&A bot. This allows us to quickly build an agent that can answer common customer questions.
I’ll name this agent “Fantastic NFL Shop Copilot.”
Add a description: A Copilot that answers common questions about NFL Shop.
Customize response style: I’ll instruct it to respond using Stuart Scott’s famous catchphrases and football slang in fewer than 50 words.
Adding Knowledge Sources
By default, Copilot Studio includes Microsoft.com as a knowledge source.
I’ll remove that and instead add NFLShop.com as our primary knowledge source.
Copilot Studio allows knowledge to be pulled from:
Public websites
- SharePoint for internal documentation
- Uploaded documents (Word, PowerPoint, PDFs)
- Configuring and Testing the Agent
Once the agent is created, I can fine-tune its knowledge settings:
Restrict AI-generated responses to pull only from NFLShop.com for accuracy.
Modify topics—these define how conversations flow and trigger specific actions.
Use pre-built topics to guide the AI’s responses, ensuring it stays on-brand.
Next, I test the agent:
- Asking about NFL jerseys in stock – It successfully pulls live data from NFLShop.com!
- Asking about the solar system – No answer, as expected, since that’s outside its knowledge source.
- Re-enabling AI’s general knowledge – It now answers both NFL-related and general questions!
With the agent working correctly, I’m ready to publish it.
Deploying Copilot in DaVinci for Seamless CRM/CTI Integration
The best part? DaVinci has a pre-built integration for Copilot! Using Creator Studio, I can:
- Connect my new Copilot agent to an existing CRM and CTI system.
- Configure it within DaVinci’s no-code interface.
- Deploy the agent across different channels to enhance customer service.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, Copilot Studio is an incredibly powerful and user-friendly tool that lets you build and deploy AI assistants quickly. With DaVinci’s seamless integration, you can leverage AI in your contact center, CRM, and customer interactions right away.
