See how Single Sign-On (SSO) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) fit into DaVinci Toolkit’s deployment orchestration for seamless, secure user access. By integrating IAM solutions like OKTA and Azure Active Directory, DaVinci unifies authentication across applications, letting users log in once to access multiple platforms securely. With REST APIs for configuration management, DaVinci automates IAM setup and keeps access permissions updated across all systems. This orchestration simplifies compliance, enhances security, and creates a smooth user experience throughout your organization’s contact center environment.
Authentication and authorization are essential for securing your environment and shaping the user experience during login. Here, I’ll guide you through configuring SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) and channel auto-login to boost both security and ease of access.
To log into my Cisco Finesse channel on DaVinci, I enter my Cisco username, domain, and password. With multiple login fields, there’s room for error, but once I’m logged in, I can easily access the Cisco Finesse interface and take calls. Managing separate login credentials for different apps slows the process and adds security risks. SSO can resolve these challenges, allowing you to log in more efficiently and securely.
Next, I’ll show you how to set up a better experience using an Identity Provider (IDP) like Okta or Azure AD. In this setup, DaVinci acts as the service provider while the IDP handles authentication. Once configured, this SSO solution allows you to log in automatically without repeatedly entering credentials.
In Cisco Finesse, a new feature called *user attributes* simplifies login by predefining fields like username, extension, password, and domain for each user. This setup can be automated to capture and store user details on first login, streamlining the experience.
With everything configured, when I log into DaVinci, the SSO process will automatically authenticate me through Okta, using previously saved credentials. This seamless integration between SSO and DaVinci allows for faster, more secure access, showcasing the efficiency of orchestrated logins across multiple applications.
