AMC Offers Y2K On Call Service for SAP Customers 

RICHMOND, VA - November 29, 1999 – AMC Technology, L.L.C. announced today that it is offering a Y2K on call service for SAP customers. The service utilizes the AMC STAR (Specialized Technical Application Response) team to minimize downtime related to the effects of Y2K.

From December 15, 1999 to January 15, 2000, AMC’s STAR team will offer on call services to customers looking for added assurance during the Y2K transition. STAR consultants will remain on call until asked by a customer to assist with a problem. The on call approach helps to minimize cost, while still retaining immediate access to highly skilled resources to assist with any problems. Customers can also request that AMC proactively monitor the R/3 system during the 30 days.

“Even though SAP customers are comfortable with the R/3 application, most companies have many interrelated systems that could suffer downtime as a result of Y2K.” said Anthony X. Uliano, President of AMC Technology, L.L.C. “Our on call service provides rapid response to minimize the effect these outages will have on our customers’ business.”

STAR consultants have worked with over 250 critical accounts for SAP in the past 3 years to provide advanced technical consulting, system stability consulting, stress testing and performance and tuning. AMC consultants were the original members of the SAP ATAC (Advanced Technical Application Consulting) team, which has since been renamed to TCC (Technical Core Competency) and continues to play an active role.
